For small leaks, grab a piece of string, tape it near the hole, and place a bucket under it. The string will bring the water into the bucket and prevent it from doing more damage. Repeat the procedure for other leaks.
Cover or move your appliances to prevent fires and electrocution. Do the same to your furniture and keep the affected area as dry as possible to prevent accidents.
